VII. Course Challenge

Students may challenge courses and/or receive advanced placement with credit by permission from their dean or dean's representative and on certification from the head of the department which offers the course. Courses may be challenged only once. Courses may not be challenged in which the student has been previously enrolled at the University of Portland. Forms for requesting approval to challenge courses and for certifying credit are available in the Office of the Registrar, and must be presented to the dean or dean's representative before examination is taken.
