Post Graduate Business Certificates
	
The Pamplin School of Business offers a
post-graduate business certificate program for students who would like
to utilize an interesting variety of courses in many specialized areas.
Our faculty created a curriculum that provides a unique opportunity for
post-graduate students to apply their business experiences in a
professional learning environment.  Students can update an older
graduate business degree, gain additional training, and develop new
competencies by completing the post-graduate business certificate
program.
Learning Goals and Objectives for PSOB certificate programs:
Students who successfully complete all requirements for a certificate should be able to:
    - Analytical Skills: Possess analytical, research, and critical thinking skills needed by middle and upper-level managers.
    
        - Acquire the competencies needed to identify, analyze, and evaluate alternative solutions to business problems, which could include writing and presenting research reports.
 
    
     
    - Leadership Competencies: Possess the interpersonal competencies needed to be effective managers and leaders.
    
        - Be skilled at oral and written communication.
 
    
     
    - Value System: Evaluate the ethical and societal implications of managerial decisions.
    
        - Understand the overarching issues of corporate social responsibility and sustainability. 
 
    
     
Admission Requirements 
To be admitted to this program, students must hold a graduate business degree from an accredited institution and submit the following application components
    - Current resume
 
    - Official transcripts (from all previously attended academic institutions) (minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher)
 
    - Online application form 
 
    - Statement of goals
 
    - International Applicants: All foreign degrees will be evaluated by International Student Services prior to an admission decision
 
    - International Applicants: an official score from the TOEFL (minimum score of 88), IELTS (minimum score of 7.0), or Duolingo (minimum score of 110) exam is required.
 
Certificate Requirements
Students complete a twelve-credit hour program in one of the following areas: business analytics, customer experience, entrepreneurship and design management, finance, operations and technology management, strategy, or sustainability, and then receive a post-graduate certificate in that area. Students may also create a general program where they survey courses from different business disciplines. There are distance-learning options for some courses in the certificate program.
