The course introduces students to the conceptual and technical facets of the moving image. Class participants will learn about narrative cinema, explore documentary works, and view examples from contemporary video artists. Demonstrations will feature best practices in camera operation, sound recording, and simple lighting technique. Students will use professional video editing software to organize, edit, and publish projects. May not be audited. Fee: $40
