This course develops skills for examining financial information by external users (lenders, stock analysts, and owners/shareholders). Topics include properties of financial information, choices of generally accepted accounting principles, methods of information disclosure, and off-balance sheet accounting. The course will work towards building a discounted cash flow analysis, utilizing Excel, for the valuation of businesses.
