COM 416 Political Rhetoric in the Digital Age

This course examines political discourse through a rhetorical lens. Using rhetorical theories, we will explore the symbolic means by which people pursue their political interests, paying special attention to the role that digital media plays in amplifying, circulating, and contesting political messages. The course will examine political rhetoric as both liberatory and constraining.
