COM 417 Intercultural Conflict Transformation

Rooted in intercultural and intergroup communication scholarship and in peacebuilding conflict expertise, this course explores the challenges and promise associated with transforming culturally diverse perspectives in conflict. Students analyze intercultural conflicts, examine identities’ roles in conflicted social environments, and explore peacebuilding communication in intercultural contexts. NOTE: The course incorporates remote teaching by prominent Belfast-based conflict experts.
