CORE 313X Portland and the Public Imagination

This course connects students to new ways of understanding the city of Portland and the stories we tell about it. Using multiple disciplinary lenses, students investigate Portland beyond the headlines to develop nuanced perspectives on the city and their place within it. Course meets twice a week, with one meeting devoted to small group learning experiences centered on engaged humanities practices and one meeting for learning alongside UP faculty and local community members.
