This course explores immigration and asylum law in the US context. We study migration theories, experiences of migration and displacement, as well as selected themes across the historical timeline. By

chronologically tracing US immigration and asylum law, we examine legal-institutional frameworks alongside political developments and public discourse on migration and displacement.
