PSY 354 Global Games: Sports, Culture, and Development

How do play, games, and sport help us understand global culture, human development, and ourselves? Through comparative analysis, this course explores social and psychological phenomena embedded in the games we play. Topics include identity, nationalism, fandom, and youth development, allowing students to develop skills in cross-cultural analysis, scientific thinking, and the ability to engage sport as a window into meaning-making.
