UP Next

UP Next is an annual day of post-graduate discernment and career readiness scheduled each fall semester. No classes starting before 4:00 p.m. are held on this day (with the exception of clinicals and select labs), allowing students to engage in professional development and career programming. The day supports students at every stage of their post-graduate journey, whether they are exploring possibilities, building experience, or preparing to apply for opportunities.  

Students participate in a variety of activities, including focused workshops, interactive panels led by faculty, staff, and alumni, an internship and job fair, and the Undergraduate Research Symposium. The day's programming allows students to explore their values, interests, and strengths; gain meaningful experience and build professional connections; learn to confidently articulate their story; and develop the tools and strategies needed to pursue post-graduate opportunities. UP Next reflects the university's commitment to the development of the whole person, preparing students not only for careers, but for lives of meaning, purpose, and service.
