CHN 102 Beginning Chinese II

This is the second of a three-semester sequence for students who have little or no background in Chinese. The course builds basic language skills in Mandarin, although oral proficiency and character recognition are emphasized. The course prepares students to participate in the (optional) fourth-semester (Spring) study abroad program in Beijing, China where Chinese language study continues at the intermediate level.
