NRS 537 Management of Common Mental Health Conditions in Primary Care

This course focuses on the assessment and appropriate diagnosis of mental heath conditions encountered in the primary care setting. Emphasis is on differentiating between referral to a mental health professional or management by the family nurse practitioner. Approaches to maintain the safety of clients, their families, and the health care setting will be included. Includes 60 hours of clinical experience.
