Information services provides a variety of ongoing training opportunities and resources.

• IS provides Lynda.com to all staff, faculty, and students at the University of Portland. Lynda.com is an online learning company that helps anyone learn software, design, and business skills. You will receive unlimited access to a vast library of high quality, current, and engaging video tutorials. New courses and topics are added every week. Visit https://sso.up.edu to access Lynda.com.

• The Virtual Learning Center is our online professional development portal. The VLC provides fully online, self-paced micro-courses that staff, faculty, and students at UP can use to learn new skills related to technology in use at UP. Learners earn digital badges upon completion to act as proof of their participation. Intro to Moodle, Intro to MediaSpace, and Intro to Campus Technology are just a couple valuable courses in the BLC that can help prepare you to use technology at UP more effectively and confidently.
