BIO 208 Introduction to Evolution and Ecology

Second course in the sequence of introductory principles of biology, providing essential background in the fields of Evolution and Ecology. Topics include Mendelian genetics, the interactions among alleles and genes, evolution, population genetics, processes of speciation, phylogeny and classification, dynamics among individuals in populations and communities, the concepts underlying ecosystem functions, and interactions between organisms and their environment. Three hours of lecture per week.
