Public Safety
Gerald A. Gregg, B.B.A., director
During fall and spring semesters, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., vehicles parking on campus must display a parking permit. This permit allows students to park in “general” parking areas. The lot around Waldschmidt Hall is restricted from student parking year round. Students may purchase a permit at the Office of Public Safety. Visitor parking permits may be obtained at the Office of Public Safety anytime. The University also restricts parking in certain neighborhood areas by all members of the University community.
Freshman resident students may not bring a car to campus nor may they park on city streets in the neighborhood surrounding campus. If this policy poses a hardship, an exception may be granted by Public Safety.
Students should familiarize themselves with campus traffic and parking regulations. A copy of these regulations is available at the Office of Public Safety, and online at the public safety webpage under Publications.
The Public Safety office is located in Haggerty Hall Suite 100, on Warren St., near the Chiles Center. The non-emergency (business) phone number for public safety is (503) 943-7161; for emergencies call (503) 943-4444.
