Entrepreneurial Scholars Program

The Entrepreneurial Scholars Program is a comprehensive entrepreneurial development program in entrepreneurship and innovation incorporating classroom activity and extensive applied experience, cultivating mindset and skillset to “make ideas happen.” It is limited to 40 students per year and admits those who can leverage the program to create value, solve problems, develop new products and services, and impact the world in their lives and careers. Students from any discipline may apply to the program. Students apply in their sophomore or junior years for participation in their junior year for participation the next academic year. Entrepreneurial Scholars program classes are: Creating a World-Class Venture (ENT 480); Entrepreneur Apprenticeship (ENT 481); and Global Entrepreneurship (ENT 482). This innovative program is made possible through individual and corporate named sponsorships and scholarships. Each Entrepreneurial Scholar pays $4,000 to cover some of the costs of this unique combination of classroom work, interaction with world class entrepreneurs and enterprises, and international travel. Scholarships are available for students with financial need. Past experiences have taken place in Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Malaysia, South Africa, Vietnam, and Ukraine, as well as locally and in US business centers. Entrepreneurial Scholars is the only program globally to have twice received the United States Association of Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) Specialty Model Program Award.
