NRS 615 Advanced Pharmacotherapeutics I

This course introduces the role of the nurse practitioner as prescriber. Concepts such as pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacogenomics/ pharmacogenetics will be reinforced in the context of advanced nursing practice. Students will also explore antibiotic stewardship, vaccinations, over-the-counter pharmacotherapies, and integrative health/botanical modalities encountered in primary care.
